Not a single tree is felled for our products. The paper we use is environmentally friendly, acid-free and biodegradable. We make a point of working with small producers, often family-run businesses, where the craft of papermaking and product development is still carried out by hand.
Taking responsibility
We believe it is important that our partners are able to work in good conditions: in a safe environment, with normal working hours, social benefits and a fair wage. No children are employed, but the craft is passed down from generation to generation. Thanks to our collaboration, local producers are able to offer a stable source of income and training to a large group of people – often women without formal education. In this way, we contribute to economic growth and social development within their communities.

We see it as our mission to raise awareness of handmade, ‘tree-free’ natural paper and to demonstrate that sustainability and beauty can go hand in hand. We support our suppliers in developing high-quality, modern products that meet the needs of the Western European market, without losing their artisanal character.
World Fair Trade Organisation
We strive to build long-term, respectful relationships with our partners and believe in trade that treats people and the environment fairly. Fairtrade has been a given for us from day one. We therefore fully endorse the 10 principles of the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO), just like our suppliers. In this way, we work together to create products that are meaningful for nature, for the makers, and for the people who choose them as a symbol of remembrance.
